Ai in Digital Marketing - My Thoughts

In April, I was lucky enough to be able to attend an insightful workshop through NBSL all about Artificial Intelligence, which before attending I knew very little about. The session was ran by Pascal Fintoni who was more then happy to help with any questions or queries the group had about AI.
Now the introduction done, lets get into what I learnt (which is a lot). First of all Artificial Intelligence is getting more and more clever by the year to think it only really started developing in it's current form around 6 years ago (found out this in the workshop) is crazy to me as its already pretty advanced but as we also saw in the workshop it still has a long way to go before robots takeover from us. :)
The first half of the session was all the theory you could say behind AI. For example best ways to use it your advantage and get exactly what you want out of it. Pascal explained this by telling us their are basically two assistants that we can call on to help with our requests the first being the Novice and the other being the Expert.
Starting of with the Novice they can help you with simple easy to complete tasks which don't require much thinking like: Research, Rewrite and Repurpose tasks. These tasks could be "Hi, please tell me about the best restaurants to visit in London". This example would be a research task and all the novice will do is surf the web for the most common response and relay it back to you.
As you can see from the above screenshot when asking the query "Hi, please tell me about the best restaurants to visit in London". The novice has came back with a list of restaurants that the TimeOut records are the best.
Moving swiftly onto the Expert now, they are what you'd expect, and expert in the field you require them to be in they can complete more complex tasks like, critiquing work or even competitors, Coaching on a subject and creatin content. An example of what you could ask the expert could be "Hi, please can you list the best restaurants in London in a table with their average prices and a link to their website, as well as where in London they are." In this query i am not only asking for the list of the top restaurant's in London but i am also asking for it to be displayed in a table with specific fields.
From the screenshot above you can see that from my query Gemini has given me a table with the best restaurants in London as well as the other information I asked for, this in turn has saved me a lot of time looking up the list of best restaurants in London then individually looking each one up to find out a link to their website, the price range, location and the cuisine they serve.
Onto the Second part of the day, after lunch it was all about us having ago with what we had learnt and applying it to our own businesses or the businesses that we worked for. I personally found this very useful as it helped me to actually be able to apply artificial intelligence to my role within No News No Shoes as well as Pascal guiding us through what we could ask if we were a bit confused.
Overall, it was a great day and if anyone wants to learn more about AI I highly recommend checking out Pascal on LinkedIn as well as signing up to Heather Murray's AI for Non-Techies newsletter.
